The Cast
Tricia Adicoff (Cherie): Tracie is making her Monmouth Players debut. She was most recently seen in The Mummy's Claw at First Avenue Playhouse in October. Tricia is really excited to be working with a very talented cast and being involved in such a great play. She graduated from Albright College in May with a fine arts degree and has always had much love for the theater and is following her dreams. She would like to thank her mother, Melissa, her friends and family and, of course, James for always having faith in her. She would like to also thank Lori and Dean for being so cool and fun during rehearsals. She dedicates her performance to her Gramps and Dad. "This one is for you guys!"
Alex Faerman (Bo Decker): Alex recently made his debut performance with the Monmouth Players in The Laramie Project, where he had the pleasure of working alongside an amazing cast. He recently finished work on the independent film Jewelry Robber, and is excited to be working with such a fun and talented cast on this heartwarming story. Alex has a finance degree from the University of Pennsylvania, which he has set aside to pursue his dream of acting. He is very fortunate to have the support of his family, friends, and sweetheart, Elsie. "Thank you Lori and Dean for making my dreams a reality."
Robert Kern (Carl): After over 30 years of local theater, Bob has learned only one thing: the most important person in all the theaters in all the world is you. Enjoy the show.
Dan Rebollo (Will Masters): Four summers ago, Dan created the part of Byron in the off-off Broadway drama, Loved?!, at the St. Marks Studio Theatre in NYC. Before moving to Toms River from Sussex County, some of his roles included John Adams in 1776, Oscar Madison in The Odd Couple and Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls. In Monmouth County, he was in the ensemble of Spring Lake's production of Sweeney Todd, played Dale Harding in the South Street Players' One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and at The Barn in Thompson Park, played Maraczek in She Loves Me and Sandor in Bells Are Ringing. He is extremely happy to be working with the Monmouth Players for the first time.
Karen Root (Grace Hoylard): Karen is very happy to join Monmouth Players. Obtaining a B.A. in theater, she lived the actor's dream life, working on stage, in commercials and doing the ubiquitous print ad. Moving to Manhattan to further her career, she began to produce and act in off-off Broadway plays with a group of like-minded actors, all of whom studied at HB Studios. Embarking on an 18 year run, she reared her son Matthew to his successful graduation from high school. Now that he is in college, she has returned to do what she loves best and is most qualified to do. Most recently, she has been seen around Monmouth County as M'Lynn in Steel Magnolias and Joyce in The Sum of Us, both at Center Players in Freehold, Wilma in Lovers and Other Strangers at the Eatontown Playhouse, and a number of staged readings of new plays. Heartfelt thanks to Lori and Dean for giving me the chance to have my own diner and to all the cast and crew of Bus Stop. Love always to Matt and Steven for their love and patience, and especially to Phil for his faith in me. Thanks for everything Sandy. Karen is a member of AFTRA.
Bob Senkewicz (Dr. Lyman): Bob was born and raised in New Jersey and studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. He has been part of numerous productions over the last few years including local productions at Center Players, South Street, First Avenue and Shrewsbury and appeared in the Off-Broadway original production of Tower of Babble. Bob has spent most of the last year appearing in a number of low budget (often no budget) Independent films, can be seen on the New York local cable weekly TV series Rosebay, NY and has appeared on HBO's Sex and the City and Curb Your Enthusiasm. He was recently added as a member to the New Jersey Repertory Company in Long Branch. He would like to thank his family for their patience, understanding and support of this most time consuming passion.
Paul Starkey (Virgil Blessing): Paul is happy to be back acting in a Monmouth Players production instead of just playing guitar for the breaks. With this production, he can do both-play guitar and act. Paul has been a member of MP for about seven years and his favorite role was that of Walter Hollander, the Jewish caterer/spy in Don't Drink the Water with Sidney Bruhl the murderous playwright in Deathtrap running a close second. He would like to thank Paul and Lori Renick whose tireless dedication to progress and professionalism allows this group to survive and thrive. Ya sabes.
Sarah Tomek (Elma Duckworth): Sarah is happy to be back at Monmouth Players after stage managing for A Murder Is Announced and plalying several roles (including Romaine Patterson) in The Laramie Project. She loves acting more than anything, and she hopes to continue working in theater and possibly film some day. Sara would like to thank Lori, Dean, Paul and everyone who helped to make this production wonderful. She also thanks her parents, friends and teachers for their support. Enjoy the show!
