The Cast (in order of appearance)

C.J. Nolan (Jake) is a graduate of Boston University's College of Theatre Arts. While in Boston, he appeared in numerous plays, including In the Boom Boom Room, A Balm in Gilead, and Robin Hood. Since moving to New Jersey, C.J. has performed with the Holmdel Theater Festival (Reckless and Arcadia), Two River Theater (Curse of the Starving Class) and Over the Rainbow (Midsummer Nights Dream). Recently, he has been doing staged readings (and even had a play of his read) with the Cacophony company. C.J. is grateful to Lori and the Monmouth Players for the opportunity to play an adult.

Nora Tupino (Maggie) is a registered nurse from Hazlet. She has been active in community theater for 10 years and has performed in various theaters throughout Monmouth County. Her favorite roles have been Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire, Juanita in Jersey Girls, Thelma in Night Mother for Proteous Productions; Linda Loman in Death of a Salesman and most recently, Blanche Morton in Brighton Beach Memoirs. For her role of Claudia Draper in Nuts, she received a Perry Award Nomination for Best Actress in a Produced Play with Over The Rainbow Productions. Nora recently became a member of the Screen Actors Guild after completing a principal role in a Johnson & Johnson nationwide commercial on nurse recruitment. She is thrilled to be playing this wonderful character even if at times she is just a figment of someone`s imagination. She thanks this talented cast for a positive experience and Lori & Dot for their direction.

Rachel M. Scalzo (Karen) makes her debut with the Monmouth Players. She is currently the Assistant Director for St. John Vianney High School's theatre department, which has recently performed Ten Little Indians, Li'l Abner, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. She also acts and directs in a group originated out of her church in Shrewsbury, "The Good Foot Players" where she has been seen as Belle and Martha Cratchitt in an original version of A Christmas Carol and Life in an original Easter production. She wishes to thank God and send much love to her friends and family for their endless support.

Lucy McGrath (Molly) is making her first appearance with Monmouth Players. She appeared as Fern in Charlotte's Web at Show your Stuff Kid's Theater. Her experience with Premiere Theatre Company includes the Children's Chorus in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat and as Girl at Concert and Children's Choir in Evita. At Kick Fitness and Dance Lucy displayed her talents as the character Musical Director in The Phantom of a Chorus Line and her Recital Performances of Annie, Bye Bye Birdie, and The Wiz (in which she had the solo role of Evilena). Molly is training in Jazz, Hip Hop, Acting, as well as Piano and Vocal Music.

Mel Evans (Molly) is glad to be back at the Monmouth Players after playing Maggie in Lend Me a Tenor. Mel is a 2002 graduate of the College of New Jersey where she was Publicity Manager of All College Theater, Vice President of Alpha Psi Omega (Theater Honors Fraternity), and artistic director of Mixed Signals Improvisational Troupe. Her favorite roles include Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Thomasina Coverly in Arcadia, and Meg in A Stye of the Eye. Thanks to Lori for giving her this chance, and Mom and Becky.

Ronnie Marvald (Edith) is happy to be back with the Monmouth Players where she appeared as a French maid in Murder on the Nile. She has been doing theater in the area since 1988. Having retired this past fall, she says she has plenty of time to learn her lines, and, this time, they are in English.

Courtney Grogan (Julie) was most recently seen as Sister Robert Annin the the First Avenue Play House's production of Nuncrackers. Her favorite roles include: Bobbi in City of Angels, Eleanor Widener in Titanic (Phoenix Productions), and Pegeen Ryan in Mame. She is currently in college working toward a degree in Jazz Performance/Music Business. Courtney would like to thank the Monmouth Players for inviting her aboard, her wonderful friends and family for being the glue that holds her world together and their endless support. Also, to those men and women protecting this country, our hearts and prayers are with you.

Bridget Fargo (Sheila) resides in Long Branch with husband Michael and two kitties, Doris and Sophie. She is pleased to join Monmouth Players once again after a short break from the stage. She was last seen here as Sloan Bigelow in the Murder is a Game. Other credits include Marsha Gilmore in Let's Murder Marsha and Chris Gorman in Rumors.

Lori Renick (Director) appeared as Diana in our fall production of Lend Me A Tenor. Favorite roles include Bubbie in Crossing Delancey, Lenny Magrath in Crimes of the Heart and Minerva Osterman in Web of Murder. When not on stage, she spends time working in her garden, hanging out with her nine cats and playing with her new puppies, Truman and Mandy. Jake's Women is her all time favorite Neil Simon.
