Francis Makwinski (Ida): Anne is thrilled to be making her debut with the Monmouth Players. Active in all aspects of Community Theater, some of Anne's favorite roles are in the plays: The Last Time We Saw Her, Something to Hide and Deceptions. She is hoping to make her directorial debut with the new play Now You See Her, Now You Don't. Anne is delighted to be working with a wonderful cast and thinks the role of Mildred is a real gas. She would like to thank her dreamy Director Paul and his lovely Assistant Rebecca for this fab opportunity.
Margaret Taylor (Lucille): Marge, who is pleased to be making her stage debut with the Monmouth Players, has been a member of the Board of Directors for the past season. Some of her more notable stage credits include Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe, with various theater groups, Prisoner of Second Avenue, with various theater groups (including Pine Tree Players), and the Odd Couple (female version) with the Spotlight Players. Marge recently directed Death Knocks for the Players' Night of One Acts, and is honored to be sharing the stage with this distinguished group of actors.
Pearl Gannett (Doris): Pearl is pleased to make her Monmouth Players debut in this delightful play. She has also appeared as Louise in Play On at the Westerfield Community Players, Judge Murdoch in Nuts at the Philathalians of Fanwood, Reba in The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Elizabeth in Angel Street and Nanny in The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds, all at the Circle Players in Piscataway. She also appeared for three seasons as Lady Elizabeth, the Queen's Mum at the NJ Renaissance Kingdom in Somerset. Pearl wants to thank her family and friends for their love and support.
Dave Harris (Sam): Dave is happy to be making is debut at Monmouth Players and to be working again with his daughter Rebecca Harris Flynn. He has made numerous appearances with Ocean Grove's Fellowship Theater, with Monmouth County Park System's summer theater, and with Eatontown's Over the Rainbow Productions, where he is a member of the Board of Directors. Among his favorite roles are The Diary of Anne Frank (Mr. Van Daan), Private Lives (Elyot Chase), Death of a Salesman (Willie Loman), Cheaper by the Dozen (Mr. Gilbreath), Funny Girl (Florenz Ziegfield), A Millennium Christmas Carol (Joel Martell), She Loves Me (Mr. Maraczek), Miracle on 34th Street (Mr. Shellhammer), and most recently Twelve Angry Men (Foreman). He would like to thank Paul, Lori and Becky for the opportunity to work with a wonderful cast. Hugs and kisses to Mary for 32+ years of love, encouragement and patience.
Dorothy Turner (Mildred) has appeared in many productions in the Monmouth County area, most recently as Julia in Lend Me a Tenor, Nora in Web of Murder, Cookie in Rumours, Miss Bennett in The Unexpected Guest, and Miss Marple in Murder at the Vicarage. Other productions include Five Tellers Dancing in the Rain, Crossing Delancey, Eleemosynary, Prelude to a Kiss, and Invitation to a March, to name just a few. She has served two terms as President of Monmouth Players and is our current Vice President.
Paul Renick (Director): Paul has been involved with the Monmouth Players for the past decade, serving the last six years as the Players' President. While playing Sam in Crossing Delancey fulfilled a lifetime dream, building sets and directing remain his true passions. Paul would like to thank Lori for being his inspiration, and Becky for teaching him as much as he hopes he taught her. To the ladies of the cast, Paul wishes to express his gratitude for them allowing him the honor of directing such veteran thespians.
Rebecca Harris Flynn (Director): Rebecca is thrilled to be back at Monmouth Players working on the other side of the spotlights for a change. Although she is a veteran of many stages, she serves on the board here at Monmouth Players and considers this her home. She was most recently seen as Germaine in Center Player's November production of Picasso at the Lapine Agile. She also appeared last year as Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream and as Maggie in The Man Who Came to Dinner. She was last seen on the MP stage as B.B. Mink in Murder is a Game. Other favorite roles have included Shelby in Steel Magnolias, Miss Casewell in The Mousetrap, and Sybil in Private Lives. Warmest wishes to an amazing cast. Special thanks to Paul for being a great mentor and friend! Much love to Rachel, Adam & Dad.
